What is College Counseling?
I advise students and their families on all aspects of the college counseling process, from creating a realistic list of private, public and international “Reaches, Targets and Likelies” to preparing for interviews, negotiating sports recruitment offers, practicing on-the-spot writing drills, and establishing a calendar of important testing and application deadlines.
I’ve toured nearly 50 colleges and overseen the application process in the public, private and Catholic high school sector as well as navigated EA, ED, ED2 and RD options. I’ve also shepherded my own two children through high school and into college so I have firsthand stories and experiences to share.
From the college trips I’ve personally taken to information I’ve gleaned from locals on the ground in these cities and towns, I’ve created itineraries for schools nationwide, highlighting places to stay, good food and coffee options in both urban and rural locations.
I also offer application and college essay support where I use my background in marketing and writing to help your student craft a hard-to-put-down narrative.
I look forward to working with your family during this exciting time. Drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 917.863.2424 to get started.
